How We Got Here

I started my first Real Estate Baby Step in 2014. My landlord dropped the bombshell that my rent was going up 25% at the end of the summer. I had been a fantastic tenant and I loved my little rental house, but the news officially “jacked-up” my life and forced me to re-assess what I was doing financially. (I bet some of you have been in a similar spot, right?)

I started from essentially ZERO real-estate knowledge, but over the past 4 years, ended up purchasing a home residence, running a vacation-rental, and starting a side-business in rental homes. I’ve purchased over 10 homes and pursued a dozen others after analyzing hundreds of deals. I've worked on projects solo, with business partners, and now have successful ventures in 3 different states. I kept my day job during all of this, but now my cash-flowing properties are replacing my full time employment.  

Along the way, friends and family have asked:

• “How does it work?”
• “How did you afford it?”
• "Weren’t you nervous?”

The truth is, I had the same questions before I started, and yes, I was nervous. But I started anyways! It's just Real Estate, baby! 

Over the next few years, I coached a business partner and some friends and family through the process.

I've poured my best lessons into this website, and I've also brought on a panel of fellow investors and experts with multi-million dollar holdings in several different states.
